What are the metal plates for included in the iTap Vent Mount?

The metal plates attach the mount to the smartphone and or case. There is an inner and outer plate. 

What type of magnetics are used in the iTap Vent Mount?

The mount uses 6 Rare Earth Magnets which provides a 7lb pull force to give users a strong grip.

How do you attach the iTap Vent Mount to your vent?

The vent mount includes a click lock and release button that allows you to connect the mount to your vent strongly with just a click of a button.

How do I remove my device from the iTap Magnetic Vent Mount?

Due to strong magnetic force, please remove smartphone device on an angle (left, right, up or down) to prevent mount from sliding off of vent blade. 

For the iTap Magnetic Vent Mount, where do I place the inner plate?

The inner plate goes in between smartphone and case. It uses a very small amount of adhesive tape to secure it in place.

For the iTap Magnetic Vent Mount, where do I place the outer plate?

The outer plate goes on the outside of smart phone or case. It uses an adhesive tape to secure it in place. 

Does the iTap Magnetic Vent Mount interfere with phone quality?

As per testing The magnet should not cause interruption to your smartphone's internet, cellular, or navigation quality when in use. 

Does the iTap Magnetic Vent Mount interfere with the compass on my smartphone?

There is a chance the compass maybe affected, however, once you remove it from the mount it will return back to normal. 

Do you offer separate plates for the iTap Magnetic Vent Mount?

At this time we do not, please refer back to this in the future. 

What smartphones is the iTap Vent Mount compatible with?

The iTap can hold most smartphones and their cases. 

What is the iOttie One Touch Locking Feature?
The One Touch Locking Feature helps place your phone efficiently into the car mount without causing any struggle It makes it easy for the user to place their phone in and out of the car mount with just the push of a finger

What is the iOttie sticky gel pad and how is it used?
Our sticky gel pad guarantees the mount will stay put on most smooth surfaces Unlike almost all other car mount manufactures our sticky gel pad does not require a separate disc to mount within your car The sticky gel pad is made with a super strong sticky gel, which when locked, will vacuum into place and will not move

Does the sticky gel pad stick on all surfaces?
All our smartphone car mounts stick to most non curved textured surfaces because of our sticky gel pad It is made of a gel that will fill the air gaps that cause most other mounts to fail The special gel material is washable to regain its stickiness

What should I do if my Car Mont won’t stick?
If your car mount does not stick, wash it with warm water and it is important to let the sticky gel pad air dry to bring it back to mint condition  Also, if this is the first application, make sure to remove the plastic cover that is protecting the sticky gel pad 

What phones are compatible with the Easy Flex Wireless?

How do I remove my car mount from its my desired location?
The first time you try remove the mount it maybe a little hard to do. We suggest unlocking the car mounts lever and then pulling on the tab. If you cannot remove it from your desired location using the method above, we suggest using something small and thin such as a credit card or a plastic putty knife to break the seal. Once that seal is broken it is easy to remove from there. As time goes on it and the more you remove it the easier it gets. 

Will you be able to charge your device while it is mounted?
Yes, you can use all exterior ports, including charging your device while it is mounted

Where do you recommend placing the car mount?

We recommend using the car mount on the windshield to assure maximum stickinessPlease double check your state on laws for mounting on windshield

What is the warranty on the iOttie Car Mounts?
We offer a 1 year warranty for all of our car mounts?

Do any of your car mounts come in different colors other than black?
Yes, The Easy Flex 3 comes in White and Mint. Also, the Easy View 2 which comes in White, Red and Mint.

What is the GripFit Locking Feature?

A feature located on the Easy View 2 Car Mount that provides a more universal fit for devices such as the iPhone 5s all the way up to the Galaxy Note 3

What is Qi charging?

The Active Edge Bike & Bar Mount includes separate rubber cushions and removable spacers in which you can interchange to see which one works best for your mounting location on the bar mount

How can I change the Active Edge Bike & Bar Mount from Portrait to Landscape?
The Active Edge Bike & Bar Mount can be changed from portrait to landscape mode by releasing the cradle and re-connecting to the to change to landscape

How do I know if the bar mount and the cradle are connected on the Active Edge?
Once you attach the bar mount to the cradle and hear a click that is how you know it is securely attached

How do I release the bar mount from the cradle on the Active Edge?
To remove the bar mount from the cradle, press the cradle release button located on the bar mount and slide the cradle off

How do I open the arms on the cradle on the Active Edge?
You must press the cradle release button (releases the bottom 2 arms) as well as the retainer button (releases the top retainer arm)

How do I close the arms on the Active Edge?
You will have to manually close all arms to adjust for your devices perfect fit

Does the Active Edge Tilt?
It does not tilt on its own, you will have to adjust the bar mount in regards to the viewing angle you prefer

Will I be receiving future contact with iOttie in the future?

I just placed my order, when will it ship out?

We have a 3 day lead  time- your order will ship out within 3 business days of you placing it (weekends excluded)

My order says delivered, but it is actually not here. What should I do?
Please contact directly to your local post office and explain the situation. They should then be able to help you in finding the specific

Do you offer free shipping?
We offer free shipping to all domestic, United States customers.

At this time international customers will have to pay a shipping fee. This can range from $15-$17 USD for standard USPS International First Class. 

What type of shipping method is used when a replacement is shipped out?
We will use USPS First Class and USPS First Class International only.

How can I track my order?

Each order will be provided a tracking number to trace where the item is going.
PLEASE NOTE: Once an international shipment has left the US it will not be traceable.

What do I do if my tracking number is not updating?

Give the tracking number a week to update, if it still has not updated please contact us at cs@iottie.com

If someone purchases internationally will they be charged a customs fee?

There is a possibility you may get charged a customs fee The buyer is responsible for paying any fee that may incur

When will my order ship?
iOttie has a 3 day lead time. Please allow 3 business days from order placement for the shipment to ship out.

How does iOttie handle returns?

If you are having an issue with your mount, please contact customer service cs@iottie.com
NOTE: Please make sure to have your order number and or receipt of purchase available.
Products over $25 will be subject to a restocking fee of 15%. Buyers will also have to pay return shipping. We only accept buyer's remorse returns within the first 14 days of purchase.
The customer must provide proof of purchase. 

Does iOttie pay return shipping?

The buyer pays return shipping if they do not want the item. If the product is defective due to a manufacturing error we will provide a shipping label.

How will we know when we will be receiving our replacement?

A customer service representative will provide you with a tracking number upon shipping.

What if I bought from a Third Party Site?

Please contact directly to the Seller you had bought the product from to find out their return and refund policy.

iOttie currently provides a 1 year warranty on all iOttie products.

Non-iOttie products (counterfeits)
Device or other property damage while using our mounts

How do I initiate a warranty claim?
